Container Booking Process to Export Rice :
- Booking a container for exporting goods involves two main methods : You can either book through a Custom House Agent (CHA), who will handle the booking and coordinate with the shipping line on your behalf, simplifying the process. Alternatively, you can book the container yourself directly with the shipping line, giving you more control over the details.
- Once the container is booked, a logistics agent steps in to manage the remaining steps. They will collect the empty container from the yard, transport it to your factory for loading, and then take the loaded container to the port for customs clearance. Finally, once the container is cleared, it is ready to be shipped to its destination.
Shipping Bill Filling Process at Indian Port to Export Rice :
- Assessment of Shipping Bill: File the shipping bill for assessment when the container and cargo arrive at the Indian port. This step ensures that all necessary customs duties and documentation are in order.
- Certifications (Fumigation, COO, Phyto, etc.): Obtain fumigation, Certificate of Origin (COO), Phytosanitary Certificate, and any other required certifications during the stuffing of the container or cargo at the Indian port. These certifications are crucial for meeting international shipping standards and regulations.
- Shipping Bill LEO (Let Export Order) Filing: File the Shipping Bill LEO when the container and cargo reach the terminal at the Indian port.
